Safety First

At this time, Gagne Homestead And Rescue will not be allowing any visitors on the property.

As many know, Canada is currently facing ongoing concerns surrounding Avian Influenza, and we are following recommended Canadian agriculture and bio security guidelines to help protect all of the animals in our care.

To be clear — our animals do NOT have Avian Influenza. However, preventing exposure is extremely important, and limiting outside traffic onto the property is one of the best ways we can protect the many animals that call the rescue home.

At this time, there is no timeline as to when this policy will be removed. The safety and well being of our animals must remain our top priority during this difficult period.

We know many people love supporting the rescue, and we truly appreciate the kindness and understanding from our community during this difficult time. ❤️

🚫 No trespassing

Anyone entering the property without permission will be considered trespassing and may be charged.

Privacy Is Number One

At Gagne Homestead and Rescue, the privacy of both our adopters, people who surrender animals and the animals in our care is something we take very seriously. We do not share the details of private conversations, adoption discussions, or internal decisions with outside parties.

Our primary focus is always the well-being, safety, and long-term happiness of the animals we rescue. As part of that commitment, our adoption process involves careful consideration to ensure the best possible match for each animal’s unique needs. While we truly value the interest and kindness of every applicant, there are times when an adoption may not move forward with certain parties due to medical issues that arise with the animal. These decisions are made with the animal’s best interest at heart, based on a variety of factors we carefully assess during the process.

We appreciate the understanding and support of our community as we continue working to give these animals the safe, loving homes they deserve.
